COUNTRY CODE TLD’S

Then there are all the ‘country’ top level domains, which match the two letter country codess that you would use if you were sending an ordinary piece of mail via the postal service.  Each country controls the domains directly beneath that top level domain.

Examples of ‘country-code’ based TLD’s include (but not limited to):

  • us – United States
  • uk – United Kingdom
  • cz – Czech Republic
  • de – Deutchland (Germany)
  • es – España (Spain)
  • fr – France
  • ie – Ireland
  • it – Italy
  • pl – Poland
  • ru – Russia
