Wavelength

Wavelength is the distance between the starting point of two waves (or the ending point of both). Put another way wavelength is the term used to describe the distance betwen minimum and maximum values in a radiated wave of any form of energy (electromagnetic, kinetic etc.). Sound has a LONG wavelength, light waves have a longer wavelength but we can see some of them with our eyes. Radio waves have a shorter wavelength, and microwaves have a shorter wavelength still. Speaking mathematically, the wavelength of any form of radiated energy equals the speed of light divided by the freqency.
