Error Correction
Error correction is a term used to generally describe methods used at the receiving end of a connection to fix errors in the received data. Examples of error correction mechanisms include:
- Automatic Repeat Request (ARQ)
- Forward Error Correction
- Link Access Procedure Modem (LAPM)
- Trellis Coding
- Reed-Solomon
